In September of 1969, a dozen or so young men organized a male chorus which would become known as the Hoosli Ukrainian Folk Ensemble. Their objectives were to encourage, promote, and preserve their Ukrainian heritage. Through the years, over 125 members have poured their hearts and souls into meeting those objectives. |

Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is a three-day celebration of the rich and vibrant culture and heritage of Ukraine. Among the numerous cultural displays, demonstrations and workshops are a heritage village and memorial park, traditional ovens and ritual bread displays and a folk and visual arts pavilion. The thundering hooves of Cossack riders, the crash of cannon fire and the rousing songs of Ukrainian choirs fill the air. Amateur talent competitions, dancers in traditional costume, scrumptious food and no fewer than four grandstand extravaganzas keep the crowd fully satisfied throughout.
