Malanka in Kenora was excellent. We performed 3 dances for the very receptive crowd. The hospitaltity we were given by the organizers was greatly appreciated by all the dancers. The band also did a wonderful job keeping everyone entertained and dancing. Overall everyone had a lot of fun throughout the entire evening.
Ukraine Tour 2003

Troyanda goes back to their roots to learn and perform in Ukraine.
Our tour to Ukraine was very exciting and fun. We, as a dance group, had the opportunity to learn from some of the best Artistic Directors in the world. It was an experience the dancers will never forget. We were also able to perform at various locations around the country and the people made us feel very welcome as their guests.
Everyone enjoyed the many tour and sightseeing excursions we went on. We were able to see much of the countryside and visit many historical sites and take part in some of their traditions. It is a wonderful feeling to visit the villages and families of our ancestors and meet relatives we have never seen before.
Many thanks go out to all those who helped make this trip a reality and a sucess for Troyanda.

Annual Recital
The annual recital for the Selkirk & District Ukrainian Dancers was
held on Saturday May 10 / 2003.
Everyone did a wonderful job with their dances. The kids were talented and entertaining as they always are. Fialka's performance was fantastic as well. Their instructors Art Chaszewski and Melissa Omeniuk should be very proud of them. Troyanda once again had a lot of fun performing at the show and wants to thank everyone who attended and participated.

While out there we did a lot of performing. We met many different people, all of which were very friendly and pleasant to talk to (those that actually spoke english that is). We were very well received by the people and they seemed to like what we had to offer in terms of our dancing. One afternoon all of the groups gathered together for a workshop and we were able to learn bits of dancing from everyone. Overall it was a very good experience for the dancers individually and the group as a whole.
